The Committee of Emulation Lodge of Improvement has, since 1969, authorised the publication of the ritual practiced at ELoI by workers each Friday evening. ‘Emulation Ritual’ contains useful information about the origins of our ceremonies, explanatory notes for officers, and the ceremonies for the Three Degrees and Installation (not including the Inner Working). The ritual book also contains an appendix of additional material that is not Emulation Working and therefore not under the authority of the Committee.

The 14th, and Bi-Centenary, edition of Emulation Ritual is now available for purchase. The Committee is aware of queries relating to two particular aspects of the rubric amendments in the new edition. Whilst one correction is to be made in future re-prints of the ritual, the omission in question does not have significant bearing on the work of any officer and the Committee do not, therefore, intend to issue any revisions in an immediate sense, nor do the Committee see a need for the edition to be removed from sale.
